ASHRAE Technology Awards

As many of you may remember, last year entries from the Central Florida Chapter won all 6 categories of Technology Awards in our Region!  Tech awards are a great way to recognize ASHRAE members’ technologically innovative designs and we are proud to have so many of our chapter members honored.  Let’s making winning tech awards a tradition for our chapter!

ASHRAE Technology Award applications are accepted in each of the following categories:

  1. Commercial Buildings (New and Existing)
  2. Institutional Buildings (New and Existing)
  3. Healthcare Facilities (New and Existing)
  4. Industrial Facilities or Processes (New and Existing)
  5. Public Assembly Facilities (New and Existing)
  6. Residential Buildings
    • Single Family
    • Multi-Family (Low and High Rise)
  7. Alternative or Renewable Energy Use

All current members of ASHRAE and its Associate Societies may submit entries.  Entrants must have had a significant role in the design or development of the project.  To submit an entry, please fill out and return the application form along with up to 10 pages (single sided, double spaced, 12 pt font) addressing:

  1. Energy Efficiency (15 Points)
  2. Indoor Air Quality (15 Points)
  3. Innovation (15 Points)
  4. Maintenance & Operation (15 Points)
  5. Cost Effectiveness (15 Points)
  6. Environmental Impact (15 Points)
  7. Quality of Presentation (5 Points) (No response required)
