“Designed for those already familiar with LEED Basics, this workshop teaches participants how to manage a LEED project from first client meeting to final certification. In essence, we teach people how we do what we do, including giving away templates for many of our tools and internal systems. This workshop requires basic LEED knowledge; it does not cover the content of credits and prerequisites. It does cover strategies for achieving the credits in typical and unusual situations, and draws extensively from our experience on well over 100 LEED projects.”

Instructor information for workshops:
Chris Forney oversees Brightworks’ Sustainable Buildings Group in Portland, Oregon, and has more than 10 years experience advising international project teams on sustainable design strategies and integrative design process. Prior to Brightworks Chris was a designer and project manager for architecture firms where he applied his urban design and green building knowledge to highrise residential buildings, K-12 schools and higher education projects. Chris has spoken at national conferences and teaches sustainability classes on topics like integrative design, LEED Accreditation, advanced LEED project management, green specifications and envisioning fully sustainable buildings.
