It is hard to believe we are approaching the half-way point in this year’s ASHRAE Calendar, but after this month’s meeting we will only have four more technical presentations before our year ends!
Reflecting back on this calendar year we have had the opportunity to Host ASHRAE’s immediate past president, Gordon Holness, as he introduced ASHRAE’s exciting Building EQ energy labeling program. Jonathan Cantwell joined us to discuss the validation of fire models for building regulatory applications, and Mr. Dennis Matula provided an extremely valuable and entertaining look into the importance of communication in the engineering field.
This month we have had to make a revision to our programs calendar due to our original speaker having other commitments arise. Fortunately, in Central Florida we have many industry leaders on a multitude of topics that can provide valuable technical presentations to our ASHRAE members. This month will be a prime example of what expertise we have in our backyard when Mr. Wade Conlan, Principal, X-nth, joins us to discuss Energy Audits and Retro Commissioning.
Wade is a leading expert in the auditing and commissioning field, as well as an active technical resource for ASHRAE as he serves as Vice-Chair for TC-9.10 – Laboratory Systems. Don’t miss your opportunity on December 9th, 2010 to hear from one of Central Florida’s foremost authorities on the commissioning and auditing of mechanical systems!
