As the University of Central Florida spring semester starts to wrap up, it’s time to recognize those students that stand out above the crowd. It is my pleasure to announce that this year, our own Isaac Lima has been awarded not one, not two, but three ASHRAE scholarships! Isaac, our student chapter Vice President, has been awarded the ASHRAE- Alwin B. Newton scholarship in the amount of $3,000! He has also been awarded the ASHRAE Bill Dillard scholarship in the amount of $1100, and the ASHRAE R. Douglas Stone Scholarship in the amount of $800! Additional ASHRAE scholarships that were awarded were:
William Dillard Scholarship # 2 ( $ 1100) – Judith Dickson (Senior)
Floreth – ($ 800) – Judith Dickson (Senior)
Condo – ($ 600) – Bhavyakumar Dave (Sophomore)
Simmonds – ($500) – Christopher Holmes (Junior)
Our two design teams showcased their projects on the world stage this past Friday April 8th at UCF, where they presented a preview of their competition submissions. The due date for the competition submissions is May 6th.
