What will you learn?

Design and construction of refrigerated warehouses. This is a state of the art meat packing facility. Construction of this facility was completed in the past year.

Our Technical Tour Guides,

Jim Grady -Jim Grady graduated from the Ohio State University in fall of 1963.   He joined the Trane Company and completed Trane’s 6 months graduate engineering school.  Jim came to Florida in 1970 as the new manager of Orlando Dunham-Bush sales office.  Jim received his Class A Mechanical in 1973 and shortly thereafter started his first company, Alpine Service Company.   Jim’s experience includes over 25 refrigeration storage projects covering large coolers, freezers and blast freezers. He has over 40 years on experience in the HVAC&R industry.

Dean Ellerbrock – Dean’s a 30 year veteran of the ammonia refrigeration industry.  His expertise lies in design and manufacturing of ammonia plants serving multiple industries – citrus plants, ice cream and dairy process facilities, bottling plants, cold storage & distribution, bakeries, pork, fish and beef facilities. Dean is a Florida certified mechanical contractor and is a member of Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association (RETA), International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) and Florida Dairy Producers Association, serving as President of the Alligators Club in 2008.

Paul Halyard - Paul is one of the most recognized individuals in the engineering profession here in Central Florida. Paul has the distinction of being an ASHRAE Fellow. He started Peninsula Engineering, Inc. in 1977 and subsequently sold it in 1999. Paul received the prestigious Engineer of the Year award in 1992. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for service above self by the Orlando Breakfast Rotary Club. He also received a Lifetime Achievement Award for Engineering in 2010. The Governor of the State of Florida appointed Paul to the Florida Board of Professional Engineers in 2008, as position he served till 2010.
