Young Engineers in ASHRAE – Central Florida Chapter
The purpose of the Young Engineers in ASHRAE (YEA) committee is to provide a resource for young ASHRAE members. The YEA committee provides programs, technical tours, and networking opportunities for young members. Any current ASHRAE Affiliate, Associate or Member who is 35 years of age or younger is considered a YEA member. The future of ASHRAE depends on our young members and the YEA committee aims to help create a path to success.
The Goal of the Central Florida Chapter YEA Committee
The CFL YEA committee’s goal is to provide resources, opportunity, and exposure for Young ASHRAE members.
Networking Opportunities
Some CFL ASHRAE social events are discounted or free for our YEA members to encourage a greater turnout. Interacting with seasoned professionals is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the HVAC/R field.
Technical Tours
Get involved and educated about our local community. The YEA committee aims to provide a Technical Tour of a local site each season. This is a golden opportunity to see behind the scenes at some of the Central Florida’s engineering marvels. Examples include local brewery refrigeration systems, a major airport Central Energy Plant, and theme park HVAC systems.
Professional Growth
All CFL ASHRAE YEA members are encouraged to contribute to our Chapter and our Organization. Seasoned ASHRAE members and fellow YEA members are a resource for information on ASHRAE leadership opportunities, Technical Committee experiences, and education/training. Consider the CFL YEA committee as a direct link to those resources. Our goal is to provide information, connections, and opportunity to help our YEA members excel.
